We invest across the capital stack backing breakthrough ventures in deep tech including advanced materials, new energy, AI/ML, and life sciences.
Role Overview
As Investment Manager, you’ll identify, evaluate, and manage high-potential deep tech investments. You’ll work closely with the Head of Investment and the wider TusPark team to shape our investment thesis, champion UK science and engineering, and leverage TusPark’s global platform to help scale companies internationally.
What you’ll do
- Origination: Source investment opportunities through universities, founders, accelerators, and co-investors.
- Diligence: Lead technical, market, and financial due diligence across deep tech domains; engage expert reviewers.
- Execution: Build financial models, draft investment cases, and present to the Investment Committee; negotiate terms with counterparties.
- Portfolio: Support portfolio companies with strategy, partnerships, fundraising, and international growth.
- Ecosystem: Represent TusPark UK at deep tech and VC events, and engage actively within our Cambridge and Newcastle innovation hubs.
What you’ll bring
- Master’s degree in deep tech-related disciplines; MBA or PhD a plus.
- Relevant experience preferred in venture capital, growth equity, investment banking, consulting, or corporate development, ideally with exposure to deep tech.
- Strong technical literacy across deep tech sectors, with the ability to assess technologies and their commercial potential.
- Robust financial modelling and investment memo writing; clear communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, collaborative spirit, and passion for innovation.
- Mandarin fluency is a plus, but not required.
